The Olympic flag was proposed by Pierre de Coubertin at the Olympic Congress in 1914 and made his debut in the Olympic Games in Antwerp, Belgium in 1920.
The 5 rings symbolize the 5 continents: Asia, Europe, Africa, America and Australia. Believed that these selected colors of the rings because one of these colors is the flag of each country.
At the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games, the mayor of the city that hosted the Olympic Games return the flag to the mayor of the city that will host the next Games.
