He contends that he is not the only one to blame, as neither he nor his lover gave any real consideration to the other. Rucksicht was at the 5th place with 94 points.(Expected much more...) As the host country this year, Germany continued its great run of the late 70s-early 80s with yet another top-5 placing (and one that was even leading at the early stages of the voting!). Not without reason, since this is indeed a memorable and atmospheric ballad with a competent performance. Sadly, this was one of Hoffmann & Hoffmann's last appearances - since, a year later, singer Gunther Hoffmann would tragically take his own life by jumping from his hotel room in Rio de Janeiro.
