The Eurovision 2001 took place at Parken, in front of 43,000 spectators, breaking the record of 13,000 in Globen, the previous year. The stage was huge, but has not worked so well television.
23 countries participated in the 46th song contest Eurovision. This time, the exclusion has changed however, and the competition of 2002 will forward the first 15 countries. Each country could choose how to create the score, ie either a national committee or by televoting.
Once again, the predictions diapsefsthikan. While steadfast favorite regarded Greece and France, the prize went to Estonia, which achieved its first victory in the competition. The Estonian song, however, "Everybody", was not successful. In contrast, both the Greek contribution, "Die for you", and the French Je n'ai que mon ame did chart in several European countries.
